Air Quality Health Index: Environment Canada and Health Canada have led the development of a health-based air quality index, known as the Air Quality Health Index. The Air Quality Health Index is a new tool available with current readings and forecasts for the next day. Toronto Public Health has designed an electronic Toolkit for use in education and promotion. The toolkit is available at http://www.halton.ca/aqhi. Halton Region has additional resources for both indoor and outdoor air quality:
Air Quality (Outdoor) includes information on air pollution in Halton, health effects, air quality monitoring stations in Halton, and today's air quality.
Air Quality (Indoor) has information on biological and chemical pollutants that could be found in homes and offices.
Incineration is a waste treatment technology that involves the combustion of organic materials and/or substances.
