Average Pool System with Shade

This pool system was installed in Oakville in May 2009. The system was installed by Solar Ontario Ltd. and is made up of 10 solar pool heating panels, with 5 on the front of the house (facing southwest) and 5 on the back (facing northeast).  Although not south facing, the panels on the back of the house get a lot of sun for the first few hours of the day. The system has more panels than would ordinarily be used for a regular sized pool because there is a fair bit of shade on the house.

When the homeowners moved into this house, they found that the pool heating system was not operational. They chose to install a solar pool heating system and were thrilled to find that it extended their swimming season to the end of September the first year
