HERE!

Halton Enablers of Renewable Energy (HERE!) is the renewable energy project of the Halton Environmental Network (HEN). HERE! works with homeowners, religious institutions, condominium corporations, and small businesses to help decrease their use of fossil fuels.

HERE! holds workshops and renewable energy tours to help educate the public about renewable energy programs and technologies available. Through our online directory of trusted vendors, HERE! facilitates the introduction to vendors and installers and can assist with evaluating proposals and site assessments. HERE! supports people through any challenges with the process and celebrates successes of renewable energy adopters so that other people find it easier to follow in their footsteps

HEN is pleased to have received a grant from the Ontario government’s Community Go Green Fund (CGGF) to assist individuals in reducing greenhouse gas emissions. With this funding, HEN is able to build on the success of their residential solar project which ran in 2008 and 2009. HERE!’s role is to ensure that Halton’s residents’ first experience with renewable energy is a positive one. We are HERE! to take the mystery out of renewable energy projects.
