2010 Annual Energy Conservation Progress Report

Jun 15, 2011 No Comments by

The Environmental Commissioner of Ontario has released Volume 1 of his 2010 Annual Energy Conservation Progress Report. The report says that the province's energy regulator (OEB) is putting up barriers to increased energy conservation by limiting Union Gas and Enbridge conservation budgets. It also says that the Ontario Clean Energy Benefit (OCEB) works counter to energy conservation efforts by artificially lowering the price of electricity, encouraging consumers to use more.

See http://www.eco.on.ca/ for the report and the media releases on the above conclusions.
