Power Pledge Challenge

Jul 23, 2010 1 Comment by

On Wednesday, August 11, all municipalities registered in the Power Pledge campaign will be participating in a Power Pledge Challenge. The challenge is being sent out to residents to power down for one full business day to reduce energy consumption as much as possible. The OPA will be tracking the amount of energy used/conserved on that day through each municipality’s hydro company. Information can be found on the Power pledge website at www.powerpledge.ca or visit your local municipality's promotion of this event.

The four municipalities in Halton are competing against each other and the rest of Ontario. Sign up now!

Please note that Saturday, August 14 is the seventh anniversary of the big black out and is also a public energy conservation day. See www.blackoutday.ca.
