As part of the Natural Connections program, Conservation Halton and FutureWatch EDEP are teaming up to offer a family-friendly open house at Crawford Lake Conservation Area especially for newcomers to Halton. Crawford Lake is located on Guelph Line in Milton, on the edge of the escarpment. It is a former First Nations settlement and includes a reconstructed Iroquoian village, a small lake surrounded by a boardwalk, and hiking paths.
The open house takes place on Wednesday, August 22 from 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The day will include a guided tour of the village, family activities, and food. A bus will leave from Oakville at 2:00 p.m. and return at 8:00 p.m.
Contact naturalconnections@futurewatch.net by Friday, August 17 to receive free admission to the event and book a space on the bus.
