Enjoy a guided hike featuring traditional uses of local woodlands and waterways. Learn to identify garlic mustard (Alliaria petiolata), an invasive alien species which is damaging Ontario's forest ecosystem health.
Be part of the solution! Get your hands dirty as we team up to remove this pest from the Crawford Lake landscape, and plant native species.
Along the way, learn how to properly remove garlic mustard from your own property according to Ontario's protocol.
Enjoy a sample of yummy garlic mustard pesto, and receive recipes so that you can make pesto and more where you find garlic mustard near your home.
Registered participants will receive free park admission for the full day, and a ticket to our lunchtime 'Thank You' refreshments. Please register online to participate in this fantastic volunteer stewardship opportunity!
