Embracing Life on Earth
Canadian Environment Week is the perfect time to celebrate our achievements and initiatives in tackling climate change and reducing air pollution. The United Nations declared 2010 to be the International Year of Biodiversity. Biodiversity can be defined as being the variety of all life on earth. Celebrating the International Year of Biodiversity is a unique opportunity to increase our understanding of the vital role biodiversity plays in sustaining life on Earth. This year’s theme for Canadian Environment Week is: Embracing Life on Earth. For a full listing of the week's events and challenges, please visit the event website.
