Get involved in the global public consultation project World Wide Views on Biodiversity on Saturday, September 15, 2012.

On Saturday September 15th, thousands of people around the world will take part in a global event called the World Wide Views on Biodiversity. This project, which supports the Convention for Biological Diversity’s Decade for Biodiversity (2011-2020), will engage 100 citizens from 36 different sites globally in the process of policymaking and awareness-raising, to sustain a living and healthy planet. All meetings will have the same agenda and use the same questions in order to make results comparable and useful for policymakers gathering the following month in India at COP 11, to discuss future policy measures for preserving biological diversity.

The Halton Peel BioDiversity Network (HPBDN) is hosting one of three consultations being held in Canada, at the David Suzuki Secondary School in Brampton, Ontario. Would you like to learn more about biodiversity? Would you like the opportunity to have your votes counted on an international level? Interested in joining Canada? We have teams in Ontario, Calgary and Quebec. Become a part of something bigger. Become a part of World Wide Views on Biodiversity.
