Oakville Planning & Development Council has approved in principle the new Transportation Master Plan, Switching Gears, which works toward an increase in modal share for public transit to 20 percent in 2031 from the current 6 percent. The condition put on the plan is that funding must be found to pay for the required infrastructure.
The plan is up for public comment until Wed. Sept. 26.
