Please report turtles on the road

Turtles, as well as other amphibians and reptiles, are attracted to the roadside gravel for nesting, but road mortality from passing traffic can take a major toll on local populations.
Conservation Halton (CH), as part of its monitoring programs, gathers the data from wildlife sightings to assist in identifying road and wildlife hotspots in our area, as well as giving a better understanding on the need for safe wildlife crossings and effective landscape planning.
If you see turtles, snakes, or frogs along the road, please submit your observations online by using the CH Road Ecology Survey.
