Volunteers needed for Big Daddy Festival

Willow Park Ecology Centre is holding Big Daddy Festival events at Willow Park on Father’s Day. Volunteers are needed on Sunday, June 17 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or any part of that timeframe.

Some of the stations are:

  • Drum Making for kids (decorating drums) — 10:30am -1:30pm
  • Drum striker/beater making — 10:30am -1:30pm
  • Wooden turtle and frog painting — 10:30am -1:00pm and/or 1:00pm – 3:30pm
  • Ceramic turtle painting — 10:30am -1:00pm and/or 1:00pm – 3:30pm
  • Wooden canoe people decorating — 10:30am -1:00pm and/or 1:00pm – 3:30pm
  • Runners for Drum Circle and break coverage — 10:30am -1:00pm and/or 1:00pm – 3:30pm
  • Boat Race (may include wading in the river) — 2:30pm – 5:00pm
  • Set up and take down — 10:00 am – 11:00 am and/or 4:00pm – 5:00pm

Please email your preference, or state whether you are available to help with the setup sometime during the week.

It is a fun day, and volunteer hours are provided for high school and college students for this event and others.
