From Oakvillegreen:

Thanks to all of you who went online to vote for Conservation Halton’s Song Bird Meadow project. With your support, the project came in third in the Shell-funded contest and so will receive $50,000 to create meadows and wetlands that will feed and shelter our native songbirds at the new Glenorchy Conservation Area, a 700-acre parcel of land, east of old Bronte Road and north of Dundas, that Oakvillegreen’s founding members fought so hard to keep in public hands.
